Rachel Assil may be one of the industry's best kept secrets, but she is no stranger to the spotlight. A powerhouse vocalist, songwriter, producer and self-taught pianist, her musical accolades have led her to work with numerous Oscar & Grammy Award winning musicians. Over the years, her work with Polow Da Don culminated with her record deal signing to Polow’s Zone 4 and Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group. Now, as an independent artist, she is breaking barriers and releasing her most personal material yet.
She has written for and worked with some of the most iconic artists, played at perennial festivals and headlined some of the most attended venues around the country. An alumna of ASCAP's prestigious Lester Sill Workshop and a long-time mentor for underprivileged teens pursuing a career in music. Her humanitarianism is something she holds very close to her and her philanthropic work includes performing at the annual Los Angeles DEAFestival and other benefits for children with disabilities.
Rachel’s record Whoever We Are was released by PepsiCo. with Timbaland and featured on Pepsi Beats of the Beautiful Game. A visual compilation album created for the World Cup of 2014. Their song’s short film was directed by the Kolton Brothers and Executive Produced by Gower Frost of Honey Badger and Grammy nominated music video director James Frost.
Her original compositions are currently being recorded in France for her forthcoming album titled The Greenery The Album. Her single, What It’s Like To Be You, which she co-wrote & co-produced with Grammy Nominated producer Luka Milano, will be released on January 20th 2022 internationally on all music platforms.
